Start Remote Lintouch RuntimeMonday, Jun 27 2005(Tutorial 4 - Deploying Lintouch Runtime - Server/Client)
InstructionsExecute the command lintouch-runtime localhost to start Lintouch Server and connect to the localhost machine via TCP/IP. If eveything is successfull, the Lintouch Runtime should be able to connect to the Lintouch Server, download the clock.ltp project and visualize it. In this tutorial we have started Lintouch Runtime from another terminal, at the same machine, but using TCP/IP to connect to the special host called localhost (with IP address 127.0.0.1) that always denotes the same machine, thus the machine we have the Lintouch Server running at. Note that you can connect from any of you comuters on your local network. You just need to know the hostname or IP address of the machine that you used to launch Lintouch Server. |
